Brouwerij Dampegheest
The name of the brewery is derived from a fortified mansion called "Huize Dampegheest", which stood in Limmen from the 14th to the 19th century. Coincidentally, even a brewer "Gerrit Schouten" of the Haarlem brewery "De Olyphant" lived there from 1632 to 1680. In 1846 the house was unfortunately demolished. The silhouette of this house has been incorporated into the logo of the Dampegheest brewery.
The brewery is located in the former cheese warehouse of the dairy in Limmen. Opposite the football club on the corner of Dampegheestlaan and Achterweg. There is more than enough space to park and for cyclists there is a real Dampegheest bicycle shed.
We are proud to show you where and how the Dampegheest beers are brewed, we are happy to tell you how we built this brewery with our own hands and we are happy to let you taste our beers. A fun, pleasant and educational tour of the brewery with your friends, girlfriends, colleagues or sports team.
