" If you want to get to know someone better, walk a hundred kilometers with this person - J. Sochrost "
In Holland north of Amsterdam there is an extensive walking network; there are marked paths through villages, dunes and polders. Walking through nature, you can encounter various inhabitants, such as aurochs, horses and different types of birds. The cities are also great places to walk through. With a town walk you will discover the stories behind the buildings and streets. You will definitely learn something new!
The area south of the Schoorlse Dune (from Bergen to Wijk aan Zee) is called Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat, meaning North Holland dune reserve, and is managed by PWN. You have to pay an entry fee to access the PWN area. Entree tickets, walking and cycling maps for the PWN area are available at the Tourist Information Office (Dutch: VVV).Tourist Information Offices
