Kwadijk is located in the traditional Dutch polder of Zeevang. A water-rich landscape with its knotted willows and lowland, sandwiched between Middelie, Warder and Kwadijk. Here you will find meandering fen rivers, swaying reeds, small country roads and winding ribbon villages. And you will hear the calls of geese, lapwings, redshanks and black-tailed godwits. This region is part of the National Landscape of Lowland Holland for obvious reasons.
The best way to explore the area around the rural village of Kwadijk is by boat. Or by canoe, of course. Fantastic canoe trips are organised from Kwadijk, through the wide canals and beside the old fenland. Walking is also possible: follow the Medieval Sporenpad. Or cycle along the Zeevang route (33 kilometres!). The city is never far from Kwadijk and you can easily visit Edam, Volendam or Amsterdam.
Tip! Stay the night on farm campsite Weidevogelzicht, where not only can you camp with your tent but you can also hire accommodation such as a gypsy wagon.
