" Discover, sleep, experience "
We are proud of our corner of the world: Holland north of Amsterdam. Proud of the landscape, rich in peace and space, sculpted by our ancestors who worked hard to create its windmills, dikes, polders, villages and cities. Proud of the nature that gives the area its colour. We are delighted to share our corner of the world with you and to introduce you to the infinite number of possibilities of this area and the friendly hospitality of its inhabitants.
The west side is home to the finest beaches in the country. These wonderful sandy beaches are perfect for lazing.
Behind the golden yellow ribbon you will find the highest and widest dunes in the country. With forests, heather, marram grass and sand drifts, no explanation is necessary: you can delightfully disappear here by bike or on foot. Follow the dunes with tulip fields and the green polder land where young cows graze and the meadow birds sing loudly.
Visit one of the many charming cities and villages, each with its own charm and perfect for a wonderful day of shopping, culture, browsing and sitting on terraces. Wander down centuries-old lanes and streets and drink in all the beauty that our ancestors left for us to enjoy.
Would you prefer to spend some time on the water? In addition to the North Sea beach we also have the Waddenzee and the immense Ijsselmeer of course. The modern yacht marinas offer water sports lovers everything they need.
And do you know what is so great about this area? Everything is located within close proximity. You can drive from the North Sea to the IJsselmeer coast in forty minutes. From Alkmaar you can be in the centre of Amsterdam in half an hour and dipping your toes in the sand at the resorts within fifteen minutes. In the morning you can wake up on the IJsselmeer coast, go tidal flat walking in Den Oever, rinse off in the North Sea before walking through the beautiful green polder land to one of the charming towns.
Would you like to stay overnight? You can! We have the right bed for everyone.
Welcome to Holland above Amsterdam!
