Are you visiting Sint Maartensvlotbrug in the springtime? Then with a bit of luck you'll see thousands of wild hyacinths in bloom. In Het Wildrijk nature reserve, close to the dunes of nearby Sint Maartenszee, you can walk across a bright blue carpet of hyacinths. The water level in the reserve is maintained by the Duinrellen project. This water comes straight from the dunes via a clean water ditch!
From Sint Maartensvlotbrug (named after the floating bridge across the North Holland canal) you are only ten minutes away from the sea. Cycling, walking, swimming: it's all possible here. Moreover, there are plenty of options for spending the night with enough camp sites and bungalow parks in the vicinity.
