Getting lost is difficult in Groenveld. From head to toe - as the inhabitants say - this village is no more than six hundred metres long. The four streets that make up Groenveld are primarily inhabited by West Frisian country folk, who earn their living from growing flower bulbs, potatoes and vegetables. On the outskirts of the village you will find an authentic polder windmill. This eight-sided ground sailer is still inhabited and is the showcase of Groenveld. In the area surrounding this cosy village you will find the beautiful, green fields of North Holland and the centre of Schagen is only a ten-minute bike ride!
